Jay thank you so much for an EXCELLENT thick, pan type pizza crust, that was crisp on the outside and chewy/tender on the inside! The only personal perference additions I did were: I added Italian Seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder along with the salt/oil. This artisan pizza dough will give you a billowy soft and chewy crust, blistered bubbles and a crispy bottom. It uses a high hydration and long fermentation time for maximum flavor.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few components. You can have chewy and soft pizza dough using 6 ingredients and 10 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

Simple ingredients and technique in this dough make your pizza crust authentic, crispy and chewy just like your favorite NY brick oven joint. I came to the conclusion that the reason my pizza crust was dense and thick was from of the absence of white flour. Now that I know the secret to making ANY pizza dough recipe light and fluffy, I wish I could go back and tell Past DaNelle the secret to true happiness. Now let's look at crispy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside.

Instructions to make Chewy and Soft Pizza Dough:
  1. Sprinkle the yeast granules into the lukewarm water. The yeast will sink if the water temperature is too cold or too hot.
  2. Add the salt, dry ingredients, and sugar in the pan of the bread machine. If the salt touches the yeast directly, the power of the yeast will weaken. So add the salt at the bottom.
  3. Once the yeast from Step 1 has soaked for about 5 minutes, gently stir, to dissolve the yeast with a spoon, and pour it into the pan.
  4. Chose the "pizza dough setting" on the bread machine and press start. When the bread machine beeps to let you know it is done, take it out of the pan. Dust a working surface with some flour to prevent it from sticking.
  5. Divide the dough into 2 equal pieces, and roll into balls. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Cover the bowl, so the dough does not dry up.
  6. The dough is done!! Make pizza with your favorite toppings.
  7. You don't need to use a rolling pin to roll out the dough. Simply lift up one of the edges of the dough, and it will start stretching with gravity.

Foods That Can Make You Happy

Many of us have been conditioned to believe that comfort foods are bad and should be avoided. Sometimes, if the comfort food is candy or some other junk food, this holds true. Other times, however, comfort foods can be totally nutritious and it’s good for you to eat them. There are several foods that, when you consume them, can improve your mood. When you are feeling a little down and are needing an emotional pick-me-up, test out a couple of these.

Eggs, believe it or not, are wonderful for helping you fight depression. You need to be sure, though, that what you make includes the yolk. Every time you want to cheer yourself up, the egg yolk is the most essential part of the egg. Eggs, particularly the yolks, are rich in B vitamins. These B vitamins are fantastic for helping to raise your mood. This is because they improve the function of your brain’s neural transmitters (the parts of the brain that tell you how to feel). Try eating an egg and jolly up!

Make several trail mix of nuts or seeds. Your mood can be elevated by eating peanuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etcetera. This is possible because these foods have a bunch of magnesium which increases serotonin production. Serotonin is referred to as the “feel good” chemical and it tells your brain how you should be feeling at all times. The more serotonin in your brain, the more pleasant you’ll feel. Not just that but nuts, particularly, are a great protein source.

Cold water fish are great for eating if you wish to fight depression. Cold water fish like tuna, trout and wild salmon are chock full of DHA and omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that improve the quality and the function of your brain’s gray matter. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can basically help you fight back depression.

It’s not difficult to drive away your bad mood when you eat grains. Quinoa, millet, teff and barley are all really excellent for helping increase your happiness levels. These grains can help you feel full for longer as well, helping you feel better. It’s not hard to feel low when you feel hungry! These grains can improve your mood because it’s easy for your body to digest them. You digest these foods faster than other things which can help boost your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel better, mood wise.

Green tea is fantastic for moods. You knew green tea had to be included in this article, right? Green tea is packed full of an amino acid called L-theanine. Studies have found that this amino acid essentially stimulates brain waves. This helps better your mental sharpness while calming the rest of your body. You likely already knew how easy it is to get healthy when you drink green tea. Now you know that applies to your mood also!

You can see, you don’t need to eat junk food or foods that are terrible for you so you can feel better! Try a few of these instead!
