Great recipe for Fluffy Milk Doughnuts. I wanted to make doughnuts that used milk. This is something I learned how to make a long time ago. When you first put the dough in, hit your timer.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few components. You can cook fluffy milk doughnuts using 10 ingredients and 12 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Fluffy Milk Doughnuts:
  1. Prepare 225 grams Bread flour
  2. Make ready 25 grams Cake flour
  3. Take 5 grams Dry yeast
  4. Take 25 grams White sugar
  5. Get 3 grams Salt
  6. Prepare 180 grams Milk
  7. Take 40 grams Unsalted butter
  8. Make ready Glaze
  9. Get 100 grams Powdered sugar
  10. Make ready 22 grams Milk

Add the eggs to the liquid mixture aswell as the yeast then whisk everything together. First of all… there are doughnuts, and then there are DOUGHNUTS!!! I mean seriously, most doughnut recipes don't stand a chance in comparison to Grandma's Light-as-a-Feather Doughnut Recipe. These doughnuts are light, fluffy and absolutely delicious (hence the name)!!

Steps to make Fluffy Milk Doughnuts:
  1. Let the bread machine knead and do the first rising for 40 minutes.
  2. Break the dough into 10 pieces. (One should weigh just under 50 g) Next make them into round balls and let them sit for 15 minutes.
  3. With the palms of your hands, punch the dough lightly and then with a rolling pin, roll them out till they are about 7-8cm wide.
  4. Using a 2cm round mold, cut out the center. (I used a 10mm metal cap to cut them out)
  5. Let them rise a second time for 20 minutes. After 15 minutes has passed, take them out to let the surface dry out slightly. Heat up the oil to 350°F (180°C).
  6. Combine all the ingredients for the glaze in a bowl and mix them well.
  7. Fry each side for 2 minutes at 350°F (180°C). Fry the side that is going to be the top first.
  8. Once they have been fried, and ideally while they are still hot, coat them with the glaze. Just do the topside because if you do both, then it will become sticky. (Yikes!)
  9. Transfer them to a baking tray to cool. While they are cooling, the glaze will harden.
  10. They're also good if you use granulated sugar If you chose this route, also be sure to coat them while they're still hot. (I used finely powdered confectioners sugar.)
  11. Don't forget to fry the centers that you cut out of the dough to make the holes.
  12. About 2 minutes before it's done kneading the dough, you can add citrus peel zest to the mixture and it's delicious! Add as much as you want but, I recommend about 60-70 g. If you do, it will make about 11 doughnuts.

I mean seriously, most doughnut recipes don't stand a chance in comparison to Grandma's Light-as-a-Feather Doughnut Recipe. These doughnuts are light, fluffy and absolutely delicious (hence the name)!! I'll give you fair warning in advance, it's hard to eat just one! Whisk in the vegetable oil and the milk, followed by the egg. TIP: Temperature control is crucial here.

Use Food to Elevate Your Mood

Mostly, people have been taught to think that “comfort” foods are not good for the body and need to be avoided. But if your comfort food is candy or junk food this holds true. Other times, though, comfort foods can be altogether nutritious and it’s good for you to consume them. A number of foods honestly do elevate your mood when you consume them. If you feel a little bit down and in need of an emotional pick me up, try a number of these.

Eggs, believe it or not, are great for helping you combat depression. Just make sure that you don’t throw away the egg yolk. Every time you wish to cheer yourself up, the yolk is the most vital part of the egg. Eggs, the egg yolks particularly, are loaded with B vitamins. The B vitamin family can be fantastic for lifting up your mood. This is because they increase the function of your brain’s neural transmitters (the parts of the brain that affect how you feel). Try eating some eggs to jolly up!

Put together a trail mixout of various seeds and nuts. Your mood can be improved by consuming peanuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etcetera. This is because seeds and nuts have a lot of magnesium which increases your brain’s serotonin levels. Serotonin is called the “feel good” chemical substance and it tells your brain how you should be feeling at all times. The more of it in your brain, the better you’ll feel. Nuts, along with elevating your mood, can be a super protein source.

Cold water fish are wonderful for eating if you want to combat depression. Cold water fish like tuna, trout and wild salmon are chock full of DHA and omega-3s. These are two substances that promote the quality and function of the gray matter in your brain. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can really help you fight back depression.

Grains can be excellent for driving away a terrible mood. Quinoa, barley, millet, etc are excellent at helping you feel better. They help you feel full as well which can actually help to improve your mood. It’s not hard to feel depressed when you feel hungry! These grains can improve your mood since it’s easy for your body to digest them. You digest these foods more quickly than other things which can help promote your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel better, mood wise.

Green tea is fantastic for moods. You were just anticipating to read that in this article, weren’t you? Green tea has a lot of an amino acid known as L-theanine. Studies have found that this particular amino acid can actually induce brain waves. This will improve your brain’s concentration while at the same loosening up the rest of your body. You were already aware that green tea could help you feel better. Now you know that green tea can improve your mood also!

As you can see, you don’t have to turn to junk food or foods that are terrible for you so you can feel better! Try some of these instead!
