When you are feeling a little down and are in need of an emotional boost, try some of these.
Eggs, would you believe, are great for helping you battle depression. You must make sure, however, that what you make includes the egg yolk. The egg yolk is the part of the egg that matters most in terms of helping you cheer up. Eggs, the egg yolks particularly, are loaded with B vitamins. These B vitamins are wonderful for helping to improve your mood. This is because these vitamins help your neural transmitters–the parts of your brain that dictate your mood–run better. Consume an egg and be happy!
Put together a trail mixout of a variety of seeds and nuts. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and so on are all wonderful for improving your mood. This is because seeds and nuts have lots of magnesium which raises your brain’s serotonin levels. Serotonin is called the “feel good” chemical and it tells your brain how you should be feeling all the time. The more you have of it, the happier you will feel. Not only that but nuts, specifically, are a terrific source of protein.
If you wish to fight depression, you should eat some cold water fish. Salmon, herring, tuna fish, mackerel, trout, etc, they’re all high in omega-3 fatty acids and DHA. These are two substances that increase the quality and function of the gray matter in your brain. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can basically help you fight back depression.
It’s not hard to drive away your bad mood when you are eating grains. Barley, millet, quinoa, etc are terrific at helping you feel happier. You digest them quicker than other things which can help promote your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel better, mood wise.

Studies prove that this particular amino acid can actually induce brain waves. This will better your brain’s focus while also calming the rest of your body. You already knew that green tea helps you become healthier. Now you know it can help raise your mood also!
